5-Nitrobenzimidazole is an organic compound occurring as off-white to to pale yellow fluffy powder. It is a sensitive reagent that is used for determining the presence of bismuth, cadmium, copper, and rubber antioxidant. It is also employed in photographic development as an antifogging agent.
